I've changed my mind about my literature project. Instead, I'm going to do sort of a "Where's Waldo" theme. I'm going to have someone hide somewhere in the photograph, similar to the Where's Waldo books.

For my literature project, I want to do something involving Disney. Since I'm going to DisneyWorld over the break, I want to incorporate that into my project. Except I have no idea what exactly to do.

This is my last photo for the mini-project. It's the one that I printed.

Friday, December 7, 2012

This photo was from my Portraits photo project. I like the two photos next to each other.

Wednesday, December 5, 2012

This is a photo that I took last year. I really like the leading line in the second photograph.

Monday, December 3, 2012

This is a photo I took for my Social Issues project earlier this year. I like the angle of the photo.

Thursday, November 29, 2012

I don't know where to shoot my photographs this weekend. I think that I will go into DC and try to get some shots that will work in HDR.

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

The photos that I took last weekend aren't going to work for my HDR Landscape project. So I have to completely reshoot my project.

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

Here's a photo I took last year. I was messing with the light table.

Friday, November 16, 2012

This is one of Trey Ratcliff's HDR photographs. He is the artist I'm using for my Artist Presentation.

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

This is an example of a landscape with HDR. It has almost a fake look to it, which is really interesting.

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

I need some ideas for what kind of scenes I'm going to shoot for my landscape project. Maybe I'll take some pictures of trees with different colored leaves. I could try to shoot an open space, but I think I would either want it during the day or at sunset. I can't decide.

Friday, November 9, 2012

For my landscape project, I think I'm going to do HDR. It could look really cool.

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

This was another photo from my "Social Issues" project, and I was debating whether or not to print this.

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

This is the photograph that I chose to print for my "Social Issues" project.

Thursday, October 25, 2012

I was just messing with light the other day, thought this looked interesting.

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

This was for one of my projects last year. I really like the leading line (crack in the pavement) that leads up to her shoe.

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

I am so excited for Halloween! I really wanna make cookies like this, because they look delicious.

Friday, October 19, 2012

This photo of a construction site looks really cool. I think that I might try to take some photographs of the buildings and construction sites at sunset to see if I could get anything like this.

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

For my Artist Presentation, I am using Brian Robbins as my artist. His main focus is architectural photography, and I find his photographs really interesting. Here's his website:

I was just looking up Architectural photography, and came across this photo. I love the angle, and the lines/wires/poles all over it make the photo really interesting.

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Here's a photograph from a construction site, which is an example of what I'm going to be taking photos of for my project.

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

This is a photograph of a building from an interesting angle. I think that while shooting for my project, I'll try using this angle.

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

For my "Social Issues" project, I am going to take photographs of how Arlington is losing it's uniqueness, and slowly just morphing into a city just like every other city. Sort of an "urbanization" issue. I'll take photographs of things like construction sites, tall buildings in Arlington, and enormous houses that were built on lots that were too small.

Thursday, October 4, 2012

This is the same photograph, after I messed with it in photoshop to get rid of the line down the center of the photo.

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Here's a photo from last year that I took in clarendon. It was for my Straight Photography project.

Monday, October 1, 2012

This is one of the photographs that I'm working on. I combined two photographs together, so I'm attempting to photoshop the middle part where you can currently see where I added the photos.

Friday, September 28, 2012

This is a photo I took last year. I used the light table in the back of the room

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

This is one of my photos for my Portraits project, with my Alter Ego theme. I was going for a sort of drug addict of some kind.

Monday, September 24, 2012

While photographing my project, I keep going back and forth on my background for the photos. I can't decide if I need just a plain white background (which is what I'm leaning towards) or having a more elaborate background (like trees or a landscape or something). I think I'm going to just have the white background because I feel like a more elaborate background would distract from the person that I'm photographing. I also think that I want to have my photographs in black and white, it would cause more drama between the alter ego photographs.

Thursday, September 20, 2012

Since my last post was about the Fall season, I figured that I will also give one of my Winter photos from last year. I was messing with selective color

Monday, September 17, 2012

I took this photo last year around the end of October. It just reminds me of Halloween and thanksgiving, and I love Fall.

Friday, September 14, 2012

This is a photograph of my fireplace after it was lit. I like the smoke that surrounds the flame.

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

This is a photograph of the "alter ego" theme that I want to use for my portrait project. I like how they are facing each other, almost interacting. This is one of the photos that Derek Blanks took.

Monday, September 10, 2012

This is a photograph I took last year for my "Straight Photography" project. I shot this in Clarendon, and I love how the path leads up to the gazebo.

This is kind of what I want to do for my "portrait" project. Creating alter egos for my subjects
